You don’t need encouragement to reach for the stars.
But giving you a fast track to your goals is as precious as a golden ticket to Willy Wonka's chocolate factory.
Time is precious, after all.

You need a cooling tonic for your raging thirst to do things smarter and smoother than the rest.
You were ready for smarter systems and training like yesterday; you were born ready.
So, shall we begin?
Right now, the culture of freediving is that our sport is totally unique – a unicorn among a herd of regular ol’ sporting horses.
We hear “freediving is about self-mastery,” “relaxation is key,” and “performing better is mostly mental.”
It’s also widely accepted that pushing through discomfort or pain goes against safety principles and good self-care.
And yet the “no pain, no gain” approach is still very much at large in the community!
In general, we’re taught that in ‘training’, we must repeatedly push ourselves to the limits; otherwise, we won’t progress.
Injury, early turning, surfacing in an unclean way, and blacking out are just part of being a high-performing diver – Never mind if every dive scares the shit out of you and it’s Russian roulette whether you’ll make it or not.
Victory isn’t seen as something that can be achieved in a comfortable way. Only the hardest training possible gives rise to the best.
After all, it works for the top freedivers, doesn’t it?
But the idea that training should be immensely “hard” and uncomfortable or won’t help you progress is a lie.
We’ve lost count of the broken divers who turn to us after training to failure following an insanely hard training plan from a “top” freediving athlete or coach. Or, indeed, from their club leaders and trainers!
Looking at what they’re being asked to do week after week, we’re gobsmacked…
Only those with a naturally high work capacity or who are full-body anaesthetised could cope!
The thing is, a diver improves only if the training they’re being asked to do is sufficiently challenging to enable them to adapt without being so stressful on the nervous system that they cannot do the dives consistently or recover sufficiently so that they don’t overtrain or burn out.
So when a diver with a high work capacity filters their exact way of training to others without that innate ability – it causes even the best of us to break.
Our protective system shuts down. Our body begins to see the hobby we love similarly to a virus, a poisonous apple, or Tyrannosaurus Rex – it’s kill or be killed!
Once this happens, in many cases, it can take months of “rebooting” to re-train ourselves that freediving is safe and isn’t out to get us. Causing us actually to regress instead of progress.
Also, the contradiction between training hard at all costs and freediving being mostly mental muddies the waters, making freedivers blame themselves, believing they aren’t achieving their goals because of a “mental block” with them being the issue, not the training.
It creates a cultural divide between the “freediving superheroes” and the rest of us, “underdogs” who must settle for staying at a certain level until the end of time or quit.
So yeah, we agree that the sport of freediving is unique, just not for the same reasons as most.
In no other sport does training work this way.
Take a marathon runner, for example. Do you think they run a whole marathon every time they train?
Or, in the case of freediving, multiple marathons in a training session?
No, that would be bonkers.
They build up to this performance over many weeks. Gradually increasing the distance they run as they decrease the number of days they train.
They apply the principle of volume over intensity and periodisation – smart training defined by sports science, not ego.
Of course, there will always be a group of naturally talented athletes in any sport who simply possess the innate qualities that make them able to show up and do incredible things.
We’re not challenging that.
We’re challenging the ego over the individual.
We’re challenging the idea that training that works for the top 1% will work for all.
We’re challenging training a diver to failure and blaming them for not trying hard enough.
We’re challenging the contradiction between encouraging relaxation and pushing someone to the breaking point.
We’re challenging the culture that says, “this is how it’s always been done, and it’s the only way”
We say, “F*ck that!”
Freedive training culture is broken and outdated, and it’s time for a new way.

Okay, so far, we've told you about our mission to get Smart Apnea Training into the hands of every diver who wants it.
We also celebrated all of you who have already bought into our methods and approach, followed our training, and had incredible results.
Word of this success is spreading like wildfire, and it’s reached a point where there is so much demand for our coaching that we’re struggling to keep up!
More and more people want to learn how to train in a smart, comfortable, and sustainable way.
This is an awesome problem to have, and it’s very exciting to see the rebel force mobilise!
Beyond personalized coaching, we knew you loved our mini-training plans and books but also needed more support to make improvements and achieve your goals year after year consistently.
